MEET THE MAMA BEAR:
Kristina Phelan

On any given day my name can be a multitude of things: Kristina, Mom, Wife, Sister, Daughter, Farmer, Friend, Neighbor, and Current-Survivor-Of-This-Thing-Called-Motherhood. I have been married to my first kiss for 14 years now and am a mom to three. I began writing when I was a child and have continued to do so throughout my life to best express myself. I even took my passion of writing to college to help me earn a B.A. in English. Writing allows me to truly communicate my heart and it is my passion to use it to encourage others.
I currently live on a small farm in the Midwest in the middle of nowhere. In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, scrapbooking, chatting with the chickens, and catching up on old TV series that I somehow missed in the shuffle of motherhood (a.k.a. Gilmore Girls). One unique thing about me is that I am known to hum whenever and wherever I go. Music is a huge part of my life and I have been known to hum without even realizing that I am doing so. I even hummed through an entire dentist cleaning once! Don't ask me what I'm humming though, as I am horrible with song titles and artist names.
I am a passionate believer in Jesus Christ and my faith is the solid foundation of my life and my writing. It may not always come through on my livelier pieces but it is always there. Without God, my life would be very different from what it is today.
